BIO:
Lady Gang's journey is anything but ordinary. After dominating the Denver music scene for 18 years with her loop pedal, electric guitar, beat machine, and powerhouse vocals, she made a life-changing move to the US Virgin Islands, where her artistic evolution truly began. This relocation allowed her to blend her established sound with fresh influences and inspired her to explore her Puerto Rican heritage. With a grandfather who is a seventh-generation Puerto Rican, Lady Gang feels a profound connection to her roots, believing she inherited her musical passion from him. Last year, her trip to Puerto Rico was a meaningful experience of ancestral connection, deepening her understanding of the cultural influences that shape her artistry.
Lady Gang has opened for legendary Caribbean acts like Ky-Mani Marley, Bob Marley's son, and Puerto Rico's own Viva Nativa. Her live shows are a polished and professional display of her multi-instrumental sonic journey, where everyone is moved by her infectious Caribbean beats and electrifying guitar shredding, creating an atmosphere that gets everyone dancing.
In May 2024, she took her creativity to new heights by launching St. Thomas's first-ever immersive art exhibit, titled "Ascension." This groundbreaking event brought together the two worlds of her ancestry—ocean and desert—celebrating the rich cultural tapestry that inspires her work. People of all ages and walks of life gathered at the historic Tillett Gardens to celebrate this unique album release party and immersive experience.
As a multi-faceted artist, Lady Gang's talents extend beyond traditional musical boundaries. A self-taught producer, she meticulously crafts her albums from the ground up, infusing them with a distinctive sound that reflects her innovative spirit. Her creativity also encompasses film production, as she independently produces films that seamlessly integrate her cinematic vision with her musical artistry, creating immersive experiences that push the limits of both mediums. Her ability to self-produce albums and films underscores her versatility and commitment to artistic excellence, making her a true visionary in the creative world. As one critic noted, “Lady Gang’s transition from Denver’s vibrant scene to the deserts of Mexico to the lush landscapes of the Caribbean has sparked an extraordinary evolution in her music.”

Reviews of the Ep:
"Unlike so many artists who open the Pandora's box of technology, creating music that is over the top and chaotic, Korte manages to be restrained and artful in her use of gadgets on Simple Truths. The result is a quilt of electronic and hip hop beats, Americana infused melodies and DIY attitude." - Kyle Harris, Denver Westword, July 21st 2018. Full article HERE

"The project's new EP, released tonight, is Simple Truths, is truth in advertising with Korte finding direct ways of discussing the world in its incredible disarray. The songs resist simple classification. "How Do You Sound" has elements of bluesy psychedelia and hip-hop as interpreted through someone like MC 900 Foot Jesus. "Preface This" is like a long lost Helium track with its electro-lounge and mysterious melodic strains." - Tom Murphy
